Emergency crews had to help a driver and passenger from a vehicle which left the Bruce Highway and crashed down an embankment and into a bush.
It was an all in effort to access the driver who remained in the vehicle followed the incident about 4.25pm Sunday at Pindi Pindi.
It is understood the driver at a medical episode before the vehicle left the highway, travelling down an embankment and onto the Blackrock Creek riverbed, coming to rest near a large tree.
There was some difficulty in emergency crews accessing the vehicle as it could not be seen from the roadway as it had travelled some distance down the embankment.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said two people, both of whom were out of the vehicle, were assessment.
A Queensland Police Service spokesman confirmed a tow truck was also needed to retrieve the vehicle.
One fire crew also attended the scene. A Queensland Fire Department spokes woman said the crew help extricate the driver from the vehicle before handing them over to paramedics.
The crew also helped make the vehicle safe before leaving the scene after about 30 minutes.
