LETTER: Don't use the Marriage Amendment Bill as an excuse to abstain and shirk away from your elected responsibility.
So George don't be a fence sitter with 55.1% voting yes in Dawson to the non- compulsory postal survey "Should the law be changed to allow same-sex couples to marry?"
When the MAB legislation is in the House of Representatives you either vote with the majority of Dawson respondents or maintain your acknowledged position of no and vote against the proposed legislation.
George, muscle up and don't insult either yes or no respondents in Dawson.
Make a decision. There is no honour in abstaining when you are the paid elected representative of these same people who have just forked out for the very expensive postal survey.
