A new modelling agency has jogged off the beach and onto the Mackay and Airlie Beach advertising scene.
Launched by head agent and model Evie Jreije, Mackay Models is hoping to make its own space by offering a models that tick more than one box.
Ms Jreije, 29, said her current roster of 20 models were capable of covering everything from commercials to billboards and social media content creation.
“I’ve got a variety of different looks, there’s something very different about each model so they can be great for all different kinds of brands,” Ms Jreije said.
“It’s a mix of girls and boys, everyone's over 18 … it’s an all adult agency.”
Ms Jreije said launching her agency had been “seamless” with her modelling and photography team coming together without complications.
“My team have been some of the most beautiful people I’ve met, they’re such lovely people,” she said.
While Ms Jreije has received requests from Mackay based clients and worked closely with a local jeweller, she said many of her clients were international brands.
“I think they like the models and they like the area,” she said.
Ms Jreije said she believes clients pick her agency because she manages both models, photographers and organises shoots, co-ordinating every step of the process.
“They like how easy I make it for them,” she said.
For aspiring models Ms Jreije’s advice is to get out and “give it a shot”.
“That’s what I did,” she said.
“If you’ve got the confidence, personality and a look send it in.
“There will be an agency for you.”
