Man, woman rushed to Mackay Base Hospital after snake bites at North Mackay, Hay Point

A Mackay man and woman spent last night in hospital after separate snake bites occurred within just 30 minutes of each other.

A Mackay man and woman spent the night in hospital after reportedly being bitten by snakes, all in the space of 30 minutes.

Paramedics rushed to North Mackay just after 6.20pm last night, March 31 after reports of a woman in her 30s being bitten by a snake at her private residence.

She was taken to Mackay Hospital in a stable condition shortly after.

Just 30 minutes later an ambulance was rushing to a private address in Hay Point for similar reports, treating a man in his 30s after a reported snake bite before taking him to hospital in a stable condition.
