Man in 50s hit by car on Homebush Rd, Rosella

The man was transported to hospital suffering chest, arm injuries after a vehicle and pedestrian incident south of Mackay.

A man in his 50s was hit by a car overnight in Rosella, south of Mackay.

The incident took place on Homebush Rd just after 8pm Friday, according to the Queensland Ambulance Service.

A spokesperson said the man suffered injuries to his arm and chest, and was taken to Mackay Base Hospital in a stable condition.

Police attended the scene, with a spokesman telling this masthead investigations are continuing into the cause.

The spokesman said the initial call came in for a person hit in their front yard by a white four-wheel-drive on Homebush Rd.
