Christmas is nearly here and there is no better way to spend the festive season than wandering around a market.

From last minute gifts and delicious food to family activities and maybe even an appearance by the big man himself these Mackay and Whitsunday markets are bringing the festive vibes to North Queensland.

MACKAY MARKETS

City Heart Christmas

Date: Friday, December 2

Time: 4pm – 9pm

Location: Mackay City Heart

Enjoy free family fun at the City Heart Christmas celebrations with a moonlight family movie in Wood Street Park, roaming Christmas carollers, face painting and glitter tattoos, kids activities, late night Christmas shopping, Christmas markets, and the launch of Bright Lights Building Projections.

Calen Community Christmas Fair

Date: Saturday, December 6

Time: 5.30pm – 9pm

Location: Calen District State College

Head to Calen for their annual Christmas Fair, which includes photos with Santa, a BBQ, face painting, jumping castle and live music.

Christmas in the Cane

Date: Sunday, December 7

Time: 2.30pm – 8pm

Location: 17 Holts Road, Beaconsfield

Get ready for a fun-filled event with 45 stallholders offering beautiful crafts and unique gifts, rides for all ages, face painting, colourful hair braids and a petting zoo. The stage will come alive with entertainment from a range of local performers, leading up to our feature act, Luke Geiger. The night will close with a spectacular fireworks display lighting up the sky.

Seaforth Mega Market

The Lions Airlie Beach Saturday Community Markets

Date: Every Saturday

Time: 7am – 1pm

Location: Airlie Beach Foreshore

These weekly markets will be in the festive spirit with a variety of stalls providing food and drink as well as an array of locally hand made goods and live music.

CYC Christmas Carnival

Date: Saturday, December 6

Time: 6.30pm – 9.30pm

Location: 6 Pelican Street, Collinsville

Rides and amusements, face painting, a visit from Santa, food stalls and live Christmas music will all be a part of this free family event.

Proserpine Community Christmas Market

Proserpine Twilight Christmas Fair
