Emergency services chase down a horse after single vehicle rollover near Moranbah

A vehicle towing a horse float has rolled on the Peak Downs Highway near Moranbah.

A vet is treating a horse at the scene of a single vehicle rollover on the Peak Downs Highway.

The vehicle was towing a horse float when it rolled just before 9.30am.

Paramedics, police and fire crews all rushed to the scene where it is understood at least one horse escaped the float.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokesman confirmed the horse had been “contained”.

Paramedics treated four patients at the scene and all four were taken to Moranbah Hospital in stable conditions.

A Queensland Police Services spokeswoman confirmed the vehicle was off the road and the highway was open.
