Police charged Oliver Zveglic, 28, with shooting a man after a meeting at Sarina cemetery on June 22, 2024 before forcing him into his vehicle.
Mr Zveglic allegedly evaded police for almost three months before he was arrested in Brisbane on September 14, 2024.

Defence solicitor Laura Santin said the committal was listed for June 2, 2025, but was unable to proceed until Legal Aid funding came through.
“He can’t take any action or take any notice until we have funding,” Ms Santin said.
“Unfortunately, legal aid has not come through at this stage of this matter.”
Ms Santin said “due to the nature and seriousness of the charges” the matter should be adjourned another two weeks.
Magistrate Bradford-Morgan adjourned the matter for mid July and remanded Mr Zveglic to custody.
