Car crash on Beaconsfield Rd, Andergrove

Two afternoon car crashes are slowing down traffic in Mackay, including one involving a flipped trailer.

A flipped trailer is blocking a Mackay street which services multiple schools, just as parents leave to pick up their kids.

Emergency services were called to a crash on the intersection of Beaconsfield Rd and Norris Rd in Andergrove at about 2.40pm, with witnesses describing a flipped trailer which was briefly airborne.

Police have since arrived on scene and are conducting traffic control on the southbound lane of Beaconsfield Rd, with traffic banked up.

Shortly after, Queensland fire crews were called to a two car crash at the Mackay Base Hospital on Bridge Rd.

A QFD spokesman said the crash occurred at the car park entrance and that there are no road closures.

There have been no reported injuries.
