A million dollar price tag used to be the hallmark of a rare and luxurious home.

With increased demand for property in a rapidly growing city, and a lack of stock on the market, prices have been rising sharply across Ipswich, and sellers are cashing in.

It is no longer rare to find a family home pushing the $1 million mark, but there are now homes in Ipswich coming in at more than double that price.

According to CoreLogic, Ipswich houses have increased in value by 7.6 per cent in the past year and more than half of that growth was recorded in the past three months alone.

The region’s median house price is now sitting at $410,935.

Here are ten of Ipswich’s most expensive homes for sale right now, listed for between $1.35 million and $2.3 million.

It boasts a massive entertainment area, five bedrooms, three levels and its own lift.
