SEKISUI House is preparing to unveil more land at its $500 million Ecco Ripley community.

The developer says this weekend's land release was in response to intense buyer demand, following $6 million in house and land sales in June.

Ecco Ripley state sales manager Scott Blaney said the new stage conctained some of the best residential blocks yet.

The new release land is priced from $189,000 to $206,000 and blocks range in size from 375sqm to 570sqm. Street frontages vary from 12.5m to 19m.

"Some of the blocks have a hilltop location offering sweeping views across the area, so we are anticipating that they'll be enthusiastically received by this very active market," he said.

An increase in the first home buyers' grant to $20,000 is expected to further boost sales.

"It's a great initiative that will help first home buyers into the property market and make owning a home more affordable," he said.

Launched in 2014, Ecco Ripley is already home for 500 residents who have either moved in or are in the process of building their homes.

New arrivals are keenly awaiting the completion of the $1.5 billion Ripley Town Centre, which will become the commercial and social hub.

The centre will boast a major regional shopping centre, a transit centre, health and education facilities, cafes, restaurants, parks and community facilities to cater for the Ripley area's projected population of 120,000 people over the next 20 years.

Ipswich's population is forecast to exceed 400,000 by 2030. Construction has started on the $40 million first stage of the town centre, which will feature a Coles supermarket, 20 specialty shops and a medical precinct, opening in late 2017.
