Letter serves up a smile at home

Our household is still in hysterics

I REFER to Glenda Carroll's letter (QT 18/01).

She is well known for her bible quotes. Well here's one from James 4: 16: "But you boast about your proud intentions. All such boasting is evil."

Then there is Shakespeare's phrase: "hoisted with her own petard" in Hamlet that means "to fall into one's own trap".

Mrs Carroll said she once played tennis on her "honeymoon where my balls went over the incredibly high side fences".

That's the best letter she's written. Our household is still in hysterics.
