THE story "Council is dumping enforcer" (QT 17/1/) made me angry.

The organisation I belong to has used this property for years.

The part that made me angry is: "The landholder will be responsible for cleaning up any waste deposited on the property."

When the Scouts owned it, the property was being fenced with new fencing.

Only half of the property was completed and most of it was rendered useless by trail bike riders.

Our organisation, along with the new owner, attempted to secure and clean up the property but I was abused and then threatened on a number of occasions.

We receive no assistance or financial help from the council.

The owner is generous - he is our major sponsor and helps to support this organisation.

We use this property as a training venue for Ipswich residents and the surrounding districts.

Surely the elected council should look at ways to assist this landowner in trying to stop this (look at the cost of dumping at the council dump).

Cameras would help to solve the problem and maybe get a few dollars into council revenue at the same time.

So come on council, help us ratepayers and voters and the landowner solve this problem.

I am fed up with these irresponsible people dumping rubbish and their attitude. On second thoughts, maybe a couple of council inspectors could at weekends patrol the property.

It is just unfair to us and owner to be subjected the dumpers' attitude and it is very costly.
