Man dies after car ploughs into tree

A man in his 40s has died after the car he was driving crashed into a tree in Ipswich Sunday morning.

The 47-year-old died after the car he was driving hit a tree at Goodna, Ipswich.

A car crash in Goodna has left a 47-year-old man dead after his vehicle collided with a tree on Sunday.

Officers from the Forensic Crash Unit are investigating the circumstances leading up to the incident, with the exact cause yet to be determined.

They believe the man was travelling north on William Street at approximately 9.35am when the crash occurred.

The 47-year-old man, who has yet to be identified, was the sole occupant and driver of the vehicle.

No other persons were injured.
