Motorists have been warned to expect delays or seek alternative routes home after a multi-vehicle crash on the Centenary Highway.
The incident has blocked the southbound lanes near the Springfield Parkway exit, and caused peak-hour chaos, with cars at a standstill as emergency services work to assess the situation.
Queensland Ambulance have confirmed that multiple people are being assessed and their condition is not yet known.
Police are also on scene and traffic is being diverted along Exit 31 towards Springfield and Springfield Lakes.
