UPDATE: A spectacular collision between a car and a small cement truck caused long traffic delays on the Warrego Hwy.
The two vehicles collided on the west-bound side of the highway about 500m past the Karalee exit about 11.30am on Friday.
Queensland Fire and Rescue Service officers were called to contain any fuel spills.
A police spokesman said the truck driver was taken to Ipswich Hospital for observation.
The cause of the crash that slowed traffic in both directions is being investigated.
Meanwhile, a four-car nose-to-tail crash on the east-bound side of the highway caused more delays about 1.40pm.
A police spokesman said a woman involved in the crash reported chest pain.
That crash is also being investigated.
