BUYER demand is driving residential lot approvals at Ecco Ripley, with council approving stage 5, adding 109 more lots to the development.

Cr Paul Tully said development in the Ripley Valley growth corridor was thriving, and the approval of these new residential lots was critical to keep up with demand.

"Ipswich is one of the most affordable regions in south-east Queensland with a median house price of $320,000 and for new home owners and families, the Ripley Valley region is the perfect place to build your home," Cr Tully said.

Sekisui House development manager Frank Galvin said buyers were attracted to the amount of upfront investment made at Ecco Ripley which had delivered a $4 million upgrade of Ripley Rd fronting the first residential precinct, the $2 million 4 ha park Brooking Parklands, high-speed broadband from Opticomm and natural gas supplied by APA Gas available to every home.

"Ecco Ripley has hit the ground running this year, with very strong enquiry and sale numbers fuelling the demand to get lots on the market," Mr Galvin said.

"March 20 will see the release of stage 3 to the market, providing 29 lots for buyers to purchase land or house and land packages.

"Stage 3 will offer buyers a range of house and land options that cater to first home buyers, singles, couples and families all within 400m of Brooking Parklands.

"Lots range in size from 300sq m to 650sq m, with land starting from $152,000, and $320,809 for house and land packages.

"Work started on stage 3 five months ago to ensure it was ready to go to market to meet buyer demand. Ecco Ripley holds a great deal of buyer appeal, in particular with families who have purchased lots around the corner from one another."

This week Ecco Ripley received council approval for preparations to get under way on 109 lots from 300sq m to 599sq m off Ripley and Fischer Rds, which will be part of stage 5, plus the multi-million dollar upgrade to Fischer Rd to the Fischer Rd-Ripley Rd intersection to start in conjunction with stage 5 civil works.

Cr Charlie Pisasale said Ipswich was one of the fastest growing regions in south-east Queensland and the Ripley Valley would play a big role in absorbing much of that growth.
