INVESTORS are lining up for a piece of the $550 million Dusit Thani Golf and Spa Resort at Brookwater.

More than 100 residential apartments have been sold since hitting the market in late April.

The most expensive lots have sold first, with the two- and three-bedroom luxury resort apartments going for $500,000 to $750,000.

Dusit Thani Brookwater Golf and Spa Resort joint managing director Richard Turner said demand had been so strong they were now looking at increasing the price range for off the plan apartments.

"The Dusit Thani Brookwater Golf and Spa Resort is a game changing development that will further elevate Brookwater as one of the country's luxury residential and resort golfing destinations," Mr Turner said.

Newly-appointed sales consultants Oliver Hume released the resort apartments in a closed launch for Brookwater residents on April 27 and recently completed a road show to Asia, Sydney and Melbourne.

Oliver Hume Joint Managing Director Marcus Buskey said the project would be a benchmark for high-end golf resorts nationally.

"Dusit Thani is well-known overseas as a deluxe, boutique brand and buyers in Australia are starting to recognise the prestige and value that the brand offers," Mr Buskey said.

Construction of the $110 million first stage of the development is expected to start next month and be completed by January 2017.

Stage 1 will include:

  •  168 resort apartments,
  •  a 15,000sq m central resort pavilion, which will include restaurants, a conference centre, spa, 24 hour concierge and five-star resort-themed retail; and
  •  Central Recreation Club, which will include a fitness centre, cafes, lagoon, pools, bridal centre and chapel.

On completion, the resort will feature 520 apartments, six private clubs, the Dusit Executive Club, the Central Recreation Club, International Tennis Club, Family Club and South Rec Club, a 12,000sq m retail emporium and a conference centre.
