Calton Tce is about to become home to new units and office space as part of a two-storey development being built on a vacant block at the street’s intersection with River Rd.

Developer Burnett Properties was given permission to revise a six-year-old development approval on the block in May this year

The original plan, approved in February 2015, allowed a multi-level building with six offices on the ground floor and five units on the top.

In May this year a request to change the design was approved by Gympie Regional Council.

The building will now have six units on the top floor and a single office of smaller size at the bottom.

More than 30 conditions were issued by the council for the development.

These include a 1.8m high fence on the block’s side and back boundaries, and 15 off-street parking spaces be provided.

The Peregian Beach-based company bought the block in August 2014 for $270,000.
