Goomeri police have warned residents to be on the lookout for two unnamed offenders on the run after two car thefts in Goomeri this week.
A Queensland Police spokesperson said the car, a Nissan X-Trail, was reported stolen last Sunday.
Goomeri police officer Andrew White said the car was then found ditched on Coleman Siding Rd at Goomeri just after 3pm on Monday.
Another car was stolen from Goomeri woman Zara Fischer’s house about 8.05pm on Monday, and found ditched on Fitzroy St at Kingaroy on Tuesday morning.
“From what (the police) told me, (the offenders) have left a few dents and scratches along the car,” she said.
She also said her car was yet to be returned to her as it was still being investigated.
Senior Constable White said suspects were being investigated, but no arrests had been made as the offenders were still on the run.
The two alleged offenders were described by the public as Indigenous youths, one wearing a red hoodie and one wearing a black hoodie.
Snr Const White advised Goomeri residents to lock their cars and their houses securely, as the offenders would be on the hunt for another car to steal.
