A teenager has been flown to hospital after reportedly suffering a seizure while swimming near Rainbow Beach.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said paramedics were called to a location off Telegraph Track, which runs parallel to the beach and through the Great Sandy National Park, south of the popular tourist town on the Cooloola Coast, shortly before 10am.
An RACQ LifeFlight spokesman said the teen “went under water” after reportedly suffering the medical episode.
Paramedics treated the girl at the scene before transporting her to the LifeFlight Rescue helicopter, which had landed at a nearby sports field.
She was then taken to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
