Rodeo legend will be at Mary Valley Show and Rodeo

A full program of family fun is planned for the annual Mary Valley Show and Rodeo at the Imbil Showgrounds this Saturday.

The annual Mary Valley Show and Rodeo at Imbil is a traditional event of 105 years showcasing the agricultural, hobbies and interests of the region’s rural community.

This family show features a fabulous day for all ages: all day rodeo events, ring events, mules, poultry, pavilion exhibits, woodchop, walkabout working dogs and sheep, entertainment for all ages, wildlife encounters, pony rides, animal zoo, sand sculpting, circus, face painting, market stalls, sideshow alley - dodgems, show bags, food, coffee, bar and spectacular fireworks at night.

Live music plus roaming entertainment will be on throughout the day, which kicks off at 8am on Saturday, September 7 and goes into the night.

Award winning singer/songwriter Alice Benfer will perform on stage near the Pavilion from 1pm, and acoustic musician Hannah Rose Music will perform from 4pm.

Tickets at the gate or online $20 adults, U18 $5 Under 5 FREE

Entries for the Pavilion competitions and exhibits will be pouring in from 2-6pm on Thursday and 8-9.30am on Friday, with judging underway at 11am Friday.

The rodeo will kick off at 9am on Saturday, with thousands of dollars in prize money. Champion local bullock rider from the 1970s, Colin Clem, will be at the show.
