A rural block 5km north of Gympie has been flagged by one of the region’s largest housing developers as the site of their next project.
Roberts Bros has unveiled plans to transform two rural blocks bordering the North Coast railway line at Tamaree into a 37-lot development spread across more than 19ha.
The subdivided blocks will range from 4008m sq to 7235m sq in size.
The two blocks at Quinlan Rd were bought for a combined $2.05m in September 2021, CoreLogic RP Data records show.
One of the two existing houses on the blocks will be demolished.
Roberts Bros has been the driving force behind more than two dozen developments across the Gympie and Noosa regions.
The impressive list includes Madill’s Toyota Showroom at Gympie, Chatsworth Premier Estate, Grange Estate and Greendale Downs, along with Noosa Outlook, the Noosa Retreat and Noosa River Park, and Sunrise Hills at Tinbeerwah.
Projects are also in various stages of development at McIntosh Park, Glastonbury Rd and Fritz Rd, and the company has a 41-lot subdivision proposed at Zerner Rd in Pie Creek under consideration by Gympie Regional Council.
The proposal was originally for 67 lots to be opened up in three stages but in December 2021 Roberts Bros changed the plans, removing the third stage.
