A pop-up coffee shop is set to open in the heart of Gympie this week, giving locals a sneak peek into the new coffee house that will launch soon.

A pop-up cafe providing takeaway drinks and cabinet food is set to open today (Wednesday) in the heart of Gympie and will give coffee-lovers a sneak peek into the new shop Grace and Whiskers, which will officially open at the end of June.
Beauty and the Beard owners Jarrod and Lauren Dangley opened The Bunker Smokehouse underneath the old Korner outdoor restaurant at the corner of Channon and Reef Sts in September last year and it has since received a great reception from the local community.
The Korner has shut its doors for good and made way for the Dangley’s newest venture: Grace and Whiskers.
“Grace and Whiskers is a bit of play on Beauty and the Beard,” Mr Dangley said.
“My wife’s middle name is Grace and I’m the whiskers.”
Mr Dangley said the renovations were not yet complete but would hopefully be finished by the end of June.
In the meantime, Mr Dangley is welcoming locals into a pop-up version of the full coffee house, which will be located in the same spot, on the corner of Mary St and Channon St.
“There will be take away coffee and a small cabinet of wood-fired pastries,” he said.
Mr Dangley said the final shop will have alcohol available and be a “similar vibe” to The Bunker Smokehouse.
“There will be a function space upstairs for the evening.”
“We’ve had a great reaction downstairs (The Bunker) so we will carry that through to upstairs (Grace and Whiskers), with the same quality and style.”
