The identity of a man charged with dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm after a Bruce Hwy crash has been revealed.

A man charged over a serious two-car crash on the Bruce Hwy at Curra last month has faced court in Maryborough.
Joel Victor Hormaechea, 39, appeared before Maryborough Magistrates Court via videolink on Monday charged with one count of dangerous operation of a vehicle causing grievous bodily harm.
The crash happened on March 20, 2024, about 10pm.
A 28-year-old man from the Rockhampton region was treated in the intensive care unit at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital after suffering serious injuries after he was trapped in the wreckage of his LandCruiser after the crash.
The matter was adjourned until May 27.
