Man charged with drink driving following Curra bike crash on Bruce Highway

A 66-year-old man has been charged with drink driving following a late night crash north of Gympie which put one person in hospital.

A man has been charged with drink driving following a late night multi-motorbike crash at Curra which left one person in hospital.

Two men riding motorbikes were travelling along the Bruce Highway about 11.50pm Saturday when the crash happened near the turn-off to Kristen Dr.

One of the men was taken to Gympie Hospital in a stable condition.

The other man declined transport.

Police said a 66-year-old Yarraman man has been charged with drink driving and ordered to appear in Gympie Magistrates Court on August 19.

The second man, a 62-year-old from Curra, was also involved in the incident.

He has not been charged for any offence.

Police investigations are continuing.
