Letter to the editor
Does the flu vaccine address the underlying cause for one contracting the “flu”?
We weaken our defence mechanisms and immunity and our cell replacement mechanisms with food that is nutritional deficient by virtue of processing, refining, pasteurisation and so on.
The standard that is set for food quality is based on hygiene, appearance, shelf life, calories, salt and fat content; all of which have little relevance to real nutritional value.
Further, we bombard our immune systems and in particular our cell replacement mechanism with all sorts of chemicals from the production of our food to the time of its consumption and (apart from food) in most other aspects of our lives as well.
The human body is an organic organism not inorganic.
The result is that while the flu vaccine might prevent one contracting the flu, the underlying causes remains.
The underlying problems than manifests themselves in other ways; such as obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and in particular cancer.
