A major benefit is providing better access and a safer and more convenient experience for students and visitors alike, a press release from the school stated.
The new set of stairs will replace a “steep and dangerous” driveway dividing the school that has become a safety hazard over the years.
“The new concrete stairs will be wide and stable, making them safe and easy to use,” the press release said.
“In addition, the new walkways will be designed to provide better access for people with disabilities, ensuring that everyone has equal access to the school.”
The trucks and equipment have reportedly mesmerised the students as they watch cement being poured, excavators digging, cranes shifting sheds and stairs appearing out of nowhere.
Principal Glenn Cafferky said the school was thrilled to provide students with a “safer and more accessible environment”.
“The new stairs and walkways will not only make it easier for students to get around the school, but also provide a more welcoming experience for visitors to our school,” Mr Cafferky said.
The school is eagerly anticipating the completion of the “significant improvement” in the coming months.
