Readers have made their choice in the competition to name the region’s best dentist, with the winner emerging from a field boasting some stiff competition.

Jacaranda Family Dental’s Adam Bradshaw has another crown to add to the collection in his office, having been voted the region’s best dentist by The Gympie Times’ readers - again.
Dr Bradshaw claimed the title with 34 per cent of the vote, chosen from a field of 10 and overcoming stiff competition from Channon Lawrence Dental’s popular Branka Starcevic (who drew 22 per cent of the vote) and fellow Jacaranda dentist Jessica Powell (19 per cent).
Dr Bradshaw said receiving such support from the community was “heartwarming”.
“It makes me really proud we’re doing the right thing.
“Dentistry is a very sensitive topic for many people. It’s not always the first place people want to come and sometimes (they don’t come) until things aren’t going particularly well.”
Dr Bradshaw said his ongoing success was not due to any secret ingredient (such as handing out free gold teeth).
“Have you checked the price of gold lately?
“It just comes back to putting yourself in the patient’s shoes and thinking ‘how would I want to be treated’?”
The win was an added bonus to recent birthday celebrations for the clinic, which he established with his wife Sam seven years ago.
And he would be happy to take a crack at trying to claim the crown for a third time in the next poll.
“Well, why not?
“Call me Peter Siddle (Australian cricketer).”
