After COVID-19 cancelled the 2020 Gympie Music Muster, organisers say this year will be the best one yet, with new events and an expected 8000 fans storming the Amamoor State Forest in August.
This year is also the Muster's 40th birthday, and the celebrations will include a two-day Bull and Bronc rodeo and whip cracking performed by Guiness World Record holder Nathan "Whippy" Griggs.
Program organiser Oz Bayldon said there would also be a rooftop express show, which fans will be able to watch in the Rodeo Arena on August 26-27.
"It's a truck in the middle of the Rodeo Arena that horses will be coming out of. They do loads of tricks and they do tricks on top of the roof," he said.
"Whippy" Griggs will also perform in the Rodeo Arena from August 27-29.
"He does it to music, and to fire as well," Mr Bayldon said.
The Bull and Bronc rodeo will also be held in the Rodeo Arena, which fans can watch on August 28-29.
The Rodeo Arena has replaced the Grove, which had to be removed for financial reasons.
Mr Bayldon said another new venue this year will be the Daddy's Stage, which will feature workshops, performances and a karaoke championship.
Muster chairman Greg Cavanagh said more than 100 artists will perform at the 2021 Muster, including crowd favourites Troy Cassar-Daley, Kasey Chambers and Lee Kernaghan.
"Some of the Muster tragics out there have said this is probably the best line-up the Muster has ever had," Mr Cavanagh said.
"We've got a terrific Blues line up as well."
This year's Muster will operate under a COVID-safe plan, but as details were still being finalised it was too early to comment on what that will look like.
The Gympie Muster officially begins on Thursday, August 26 and will conclude Sunday, August 29.
