It was a memorable day and emotional day on Monday as hundreds of preps across the Gympie region started their schooling careers. See the beautiful photos:

It was a big day in the young lives of hundreds of Gympie region youngsters on Monday when they offically began their schooling careers.

Prep students across the region reached a major milestone on Monday when they completed their first day of many years at school.

Education Minister Grace Grace said in a press release about 44,000 preppies would be starting school in Queensland in 2023.

Whether it be playing with Playdough and blocks, drawing in crayon or climbing on the playground, these special moments were captured across seven schools in Gympie by our photographers.
