Queensland Fire and Emergency Services crews were called to contain the small house fire in Burua

The fire started in a house on Jim Whyte Way, Burua around 8.30pm Monday.

Four Queensland Fire and Emergency Services crews responded to a house fire in the Gladstone region on Monday night.

The house fire was reported on Jim Whyte Way, Burua around 8.30pm.

The crews, fitted with breathing apparatus, entered the property and found a small fire which took a couple of minutes to put out with an extinguisher.

A QFES spokeswoman said crews moved a few gas bottles away and monitored atmospheric safety.

Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics stood by at the house fire, however, no one requires treatment.

The property was left in the hands of the owners at 9.50pm.
