Teen dies in single-vehicle rollover on beach at Eurimbula

A male in his late teens from Central Queensland has died after his vehicle rolled on a beach in the Gladstone region on Saturday afternoon.
Emergency services, including a rescue helicopter, responded to the single-vehicle rollover on a beach at Rodds Peninsula in Eurimbula.
Rodds Peninsula is a remote beach camping area by the water, north of Agnes Water.
According to police, preliminary investigations indicate the driver and sole occupant, a 19-year-old West Gladstone man, was driving a four-wheel drive wagon along the beach before it rolled.
Emergency services attended and the driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.
It is understood the victim became trapped after the vehicle had rolled.
It’s not yet clear what caused it to roll.
Investigations are ongoing.
