A 26-year-old man has received a head injury and a notice to appear in court after he allegedly crashed into a parked car near Gladstone.
The alleged incident occurred at 10.30pm on Sutton Street in Barney Point.
A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said the driver had been given a notice to appear for driving under the influence.
“Around 10.30pm a yellow Hyundai Getz was travelling in a southerly direction on Sutton Street when hit a unoccupied parked vehicle on the left side in its direction of travel causing that vehicle to hit another unoccupied vehicle parked in front of it,” the spokeswoman said.
“The male driver of the vehicle sustained a head injury and was transported to the Gladstone Hospital for treatment.”
The man is due to face Gladstone Magistrates Court on February 4, 2025.
