Kelsey Lee Cole appeared in Gladstone Magistrates Court on three breach of bail charges

The woman claimed she did not hear police knock on her doors and windows for six minutes.

A repeat bail breacher told police she had slept through a curfew check on her home, a court heard.

Kelsey Lee Cole, 18, pleaded guilty in the Gladstone Magistrates Court on Tuesday to three breaches of bail conditions.

Police prosecutor Carl Spargo outlined Cole’s offending, the worst of which occurred on April 2, around 2.30am.

Police attended an Angler Street address in Toolooa for a curfew check, knocking on doors and windows multiple times and observing a TV on in the living room.

They were at the address for around six minutes, however, were unable to raise anyone from the house.

On April 11 Cole was arrested for another breach of bail.

When questioned, Cole stated she fully understood her bail conditions and knew she must be at her bail address between 11pm and 6am and answer the door when a police officer asked her to.

Cole said she was at her bail address on Angler Street, however, she did not recall any police officers attending the address on April 2 as she was sleeping.

Magistrate Bevan Manthey convicted and fined Cole $300. No convictions were recorded.
