A Central Queensland man accused of a domestic violence rape is also facing drugs charges.

The man had his matters mentioned in Gladstone Magistrates Court on Monday where he was not required to appear.

He is facing charges including one count each of rape and common assault (alleged domestic violence offences) and two counts of possessing dangerous drugs.

The man’s lawyer appeared via phone and requested an adjournment to obtain instructions on how the matters should proceed.

Magistrate Mary Buchanan adjourned the matters to January 12 and the man’s bail was enlarged.
