THE 49th Gladstone Eisteddfod officially kicked off at Gladstone Entertainment Convention Centre with the speech, drama and vocal categories on Friday.
Young and old took to the stage for mime, poetry, bible readings and more with the categories' performances to finish up on Wednesday.
At the end of the month, the instrumental categories will have schools involved in many of the acts.
