Man seriously injured after being hit by boat propeller at Turkey Beach

There has been an update in the condition of a man who suffered significant injuries after he was hit by a boat propeller at a Central Queensland beach.

There has been a positive condition update for a man who suffered significant injuries after he was hit by a boat propeller at a Central Queensland beach on Sunday.

Queensland Ambulance Service was called to Turkey Beach at 10.25pm and paramedics treated a man in his 20s with significant wounds to his chest and back.

He was taken to Gladstone Hospital in a serious condition.

On Tuesday, a Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service spokeswoman said the man was in a stable condition in Gladstone Hospital.

Turkey Beach is a small coastal town about 60km southeast of Gladstone, and is close to Agnes Water and Seventeen Seventy.

According to Tourism and Events Queensland, the beach is famous for its crabbing and fishing spots.
