Wartburg Rural Fire Brigade first officer Judy Ferrari, who worked closely with Mr Paskevicius, said he was a resident and involved community member of Baffle Creek for more than 40 years.

“He was a founding member of his beloved Wartburg Rural Fire Brigade after it was established over 30 years ago and was the third officer of the Brigade,” Ms Ferrari said.

Ms Ferrari said Mr Paskevicius was very proud of his military service having serviced in the Australian Naval Forces during the Vietnam War.
