Alleged safety breach at leading Lockyer Valley beef company

One of Australia’s leading beef feedlotting companies, Stanbroke Beef, is alleged to have breached safety standards at its Lockyer Valley processing plant.
Queensland Workplace Health and Safety alleges Stanbroke Beef Pty Ltd failed to comply with its health and safety duty of care.
Stanbroke operates a 24-hour meat processing plant at Grantham, which is where the safety beach is alleged to have occurred.
The case was briefly mentioned at the Gatton Magistrates Court on Tuesday, July 18, where the matter was adjourned to August 21.
The major feedlotting company breeds and processes cattle which are exported to more than 30 countries.
