Emergency crews release woman trapped in vehicle

Emergency crews have released a woman in her 20s who became trapped inside a vehicle when it collided with another in the Lockyer Valley region. Here’s the latest.

A woman in her 20s has been cut free from a vehicle that collided with another off the Warrego Highway in the Lockyer Valley region on Thursday.

Queensland Fire Department crews were required to use hydraulic cutting gear to extract the woman, after she became stuck inside the vehicle, a QFD spokesman said.

It is understood the incident occurred just before 11am on the intersection of Forest Hill-Fernvale Rd and the westbound lane of the Warrego Highway.

A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said paramedics are now assessing three patients; a woman in her 60s, a woman in her 90s and a third woman in her 20s.
