After reaching almost 100 cute dog nominations, we can now reveal who Lockyer Valley community decided was the cutest of them all.

Meet your winner here.

WINNER: Willow

Owners Richard and Taylor Wilks adopted Willow from a farm in the Lockyer Valley, and since then the purebred long haired border collie has been a spark of joy.

Joining Choccy and Silver, two elderly sausage dogs, Ms Wilks said Willow enjoys being the tallest of siblings.

While describing Willow as “beautiful” and “always there for moral support”, that doesn’t mean she isn’t without a naughty streak.

“Late one night, I caught Willow teaching her four eight-week-old puppies to pull the clothes off the line and run around the backyard with said clothes,” Ms Wilks said.

“It was very cute, so I didn’t stop her, but also extremely naughty. She has now learnt to not touch the clothes on the line now, although I cannot say the same for her pups.”

Ms Wilks said Willow’s favourite activity is chasing birds, something that most border collie owners can relate to.

“Once the birds land, she will stalk them stealthily for hours without wanting to hurt them,” she said.

“Willow is such a beautiful dog, who is always there for moral support. She is so welcoming to all our visitors and so gentle to all our friends children. She is super fluffy and a dream to cuddle. But most of all she is the smartest and sweetest natured dog we could have ever asked for to be apart of our family.

“We are so proud of our Willow, she is not just the cutest dog, but the coolest. We hope to have her as a therapy dog in the future for patients in care within aged services and hospitals.”
