Thousands of Queensland Prep students started their education journey this week. See hundreds of photos we have colalted from the first two days at state and private schools across greater Brisbane.

Thousands of smiling prep students walked through doorways and into classrooms for their first day of school this week.
There were plenty of shiny shoes, new uniforms and bright faces.
Principals at schools across southeast Queensland said they could not be more excited about the 2023 school year and getting to know new little ones.
“We’re so excited to introduce our littlest learners — they’re so proud in their uniforms,” Sherwood State School principal Amanda Hawkswell said.
“Our preppies have provided us with a source of some quotable moments over the years. Little ones speak their truth all the time and sometimes say the funniest things. We look forward to it.”
Rainworth State School principal Lee Martin said the first day of prep started smoothly, with everyone in high spirits.
“We’re so excited for the start of the 203 school year. We just have such a good feel about it,” she said.
Quest reporters and photographers visited more than a dozen schools this week to capture the special moments as hundreds of preppies waved goodbye to their parents to start their big day.
