Emergency roundup for Hervey Bay, Maryborough

Emergency crews have responded to two crashes and a roof fall - all within the same 30-minute period - on the Fraser Coast overnight.

Five people have been taken to hospital after a spate of emergencies on the Fraser Coast overnight.

Emergency crews were called scene of a crash between two four-wheel-drives at Hervey Bay about 8.46pm Friday.

The crash happened on the corner of Hervey Bay’s main road – Boat Harbour Drive – and Pulgul St, Urangan.

It’s understood a loud bang was heard and multiple calls to emergency services made but nobody was seriously hurt.

According to the Queensland Ambulance Service, two declined transport to hospital and three were taken to Hervey Bay Hospital with minor injuries.

Moments after the Urangan crash, crews were called to a two-vehicle crash at Maryborough.

The crash happened on the corner of Russell and Kent Streets at 8.54pm.

One stable patient was taken to Maryborough Hospital with minor injuries.

Also in Maryborough, a man in his 40s suffered injuries to his back and a foot after falling from a roof at a home in Granville.

He was taken to Hervey Bay Hospital in a stable condition.
