Major road reopens after truck hits power pole at Booral

A major road has reopened on the Fraser Coast after a truck hit a pole and brought down powerlines.

A major Fraser Coast road has now reopened after a crash brought down powerlines on Friday.

The crash happened on Booral Rd near the intersection with Janine St when a truck crashed into a power pole about 10.20am.

A spokeswoman from the Queensland Police Service said the road had been closed as crews worked at the scene.

It has since reopened.

Emergency services were also kept busy after a crash on Boundary St and Maree St in Torquay about 11.25pm.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said four people were being assessed after the three-vehicle crash.

Two people were taken to Hervey Bay Hospital in a stable condition.
