A Maryborough mum and baby who were listed as missing last week have been found safe and well.

Police and family held concerns for their welfare due to the woman having a medical condition.

But a police spokeswoman said the two had been found safe and well on May 23, the day they were reported missing.

It comes as the search has been scaled back for a missing 82-year-old man in Childers.

Peter Hodgins was last seen leaving an aged care facility on Morgan St in Childers about 6.45pm on Sunday.

He was heading south towards Broadhurst St, wearing a blue polo shirt, jeans, brown shoes and a dark coloured coat.
