A driver has been caught doing more than 40km/h over the speed limit on the Bruce Highway near Maryborough.

A man has been busted travelling more than 40km/h over the speed limit on the Bruce Highway.
Officers from the Howard Police Station caught the 60-year-old Rainbow Beach man near Aldershot on November 7.
Police allege they were conducting speed detection on the Bruce Highway in Aldershot about 2pm when they detected a white Toyota Prado travelling at 144 km/h in a 100km/h zone.
Police stopped the vehicle and issued an infringement notice to the driver, which carries a penalty of $1,854 and eight demerit points.
The driver will automatically receive a six-month driver’s licence suspension.
