Arrest warrant issued for accused child sex offender in Maryborough
A warrant has been issued for a Qld man facing serious child sex abuse charges after he failed to show up to court.

An arrest warrant has been issued for an accused child molester who failed to appear in court.
The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is charged with indecent treatment of a child under 12 years (procure to commit) and indecent treatment of a child under 12 years.
His case was mentioned in Maryborough District Court on Tuesday before Judge Deborah Richards.
The court heard the man’s personal appearance was required in court.
His name was then called by the bailiff, but he was not to be found.
His legal representative, appearing via telephone, said the last contact his office had with his client was on July 4, 2025.
Leave was sought by his legal representative to withdraw from the matter.
Crown prosecutor Seamus McManus said a copy of his notice had been left at the address that was listed as his bail address.
Judge Richards issued a warrant for the man’s arrest and leave was given to his legal representative to withdraw from the matter.
