The crash happened between Harwood St and Cheapside Streets about 11.40am after a truck struck a power pole, forcing Alice St to be closed to traffic.
It is understood no one was injured.
Motorists were urged to avoid the area and seek alternate routes, while power to homes and businesses in the area was affected.
About 10.19am, emergency services were also called to the scene of a boating incident involving a propeller on K’gari.
The Bundaberg LifeFlight aeromedical crew airlifted a teenage girl to hospital after a boating incident.
The aeromedical team was tasked to K’gari at 10.56am.
The helicopter landed on the beach and the LifeFlight critical care doctor and a paramedic treated the girl for significant lacerations to her leg.
It is believed she was on a small, rubber tender from a nearby catamaran when she was hit by a propeller.
She was airlifted to Hervey Bay Hospital in a stable condition.
