A boatie is being treated for hypothermia after treading cold water for an hour in Queensland’s Great Sandy Strait.

A man is being treated for hypothermia after his boat capsized at Poona on Monday.
Paramedics arrived at the scene about 9.20am.
It is understood the man had spent about an hour in the water.
The man, aged in his 70s, did not suffer injuries but was taken to Maryborough Hospital in a stable condition suffering hypothermia.
